Measures to Prevent Nosocomial Infection
Air Purifier
In order to prevent viruses and other infectious diseases, Nakano Dental Clinic has installed an electrostatic precipitator air purifier to create a safe air environment for our patients. Dust collection from the ceiling quickly removes particles (aerosols) of 5㎛ or less that float in the air for long periods of time. (*Viruses ≒ 0.1㎛ cedar pollen ≒ 40㎛)
In addition, the air inside the hospital is purified every 4 to 5 minutes, so ventilation is more efficient than opening windows. Periodic maintenance is performed every other month to ensure clean air at all times.
Sterilization equipment for slippers
To ensure that patients can use sterilized slippers in the waiting room, ultraviolet sterilization lamps are used to irradiate the slippers to prevent the introduction and growth of viruses and bacteria from the outside.
Autoclave
After instruments are washed with neutral electrolyzed water, they are placed in sterilization packs and sterilized in an autoclave.
We use disposable instruments as much as possible in our clinic, but we use an autoclave, an instrument that sterilizes bacteria, for other instruments.
Ultra Fine Bubble Water
Ultra Fine Bubble Water is used at Nakano Dental Clinic to create a clean and sterile environment for treatments and procedures.
By using ultrafine bubble water when cleaning instruments, ultrafine bubbles of 0.1㎛ or less remove biofilm and bacteria in the water supply pipes. In oral care, ultrafine bubble water rinses out plaque and bacteria deep in periodontal pockets. This helps prevent periodontal disease.
